The Greener consumer has recognised CNG for some time. In Italy and Germany, acceptance of retro fitted cng conversions has now been extended to CNG and factory approved gas systems.
We have
successfully fitted a sequential cng system to virtually
all petrol models - excluding the Direct injection see LPG on FSi
and TSi models. We fabricate brackets and amend the
gas systems digital calibration accordingly. The
performance and emission results of our gas systems are
comparable with the petrol OEM product.
AAG have
successfully CNG converted the current
Volvo 2.5FT engine, as fitted to the C80 and V70 - see

| Operating on gaseous fuels
is easy. Simply get in and drive, our systems are
fully automatic. The system even tells you when it
has switched back to petrol because you have run out
of gas, typically around 200 miles. Your motoring can be incredibly cost effective with our cng conversions. All without the stink and smoke. Cost effective & clean emissions with our cng conversion. Arun Autogas, have been carrying out cng conversions on vehicles since 1998. An cng conversion enables petrol vehicles to run on either cng or Petrol controlled by the driver from inside the vehicle whilst realising cost savings of up to 30% over petrol. |

E.ON Ruhrgas to Open 150 NGV Filling Stations on German Motorways; 10% Biomethane Component by 2010During the next two years, E.ON Ruhrgas will open about 150 filling stations on German motorways for natural gas vehicles (NGVs). There are currently about 750 NGV fueling stations in the country. In 2007, the company will set up an initial 60-70 new filling stations, with another 60 to 70 stations to follow in 2008. E.ON Ruhrgas is spending a total of up to €36 million (US$48 million) on this expansion. E.ON Ruhrgas is establishing a new subsidiary for this task: E.ON Gas Mobil. It will build the new stations in cooperation with leading petroleum companies in Germany.

The environmental advantages of natural gas as a motor fuel can be further enhanced by the use of bio natural gas (biomethane) obtained and processed from renewable resources. In a voluntary commitment, the gas industry has pledged to add up to 10% biomethane to the natural gas volumes provided for the motor fuel market by 2010. Biomethane is suitable as a fuel for NGVs without any restrictions. In 2020, enough biomethane could be available to fuel more than four million NGVs in Germany. |
Our Direct injection systems cost a
little more than a normally aspirated
conversion, but there are only a few people in
the country with our experience. We work with a number of vehicle main
dealers, who use our conversion services for
thier customers, and concequently can arrange
new and used cng /
CNG "turn-key" vehicle packages.

As if completing a 24-hr endurance race wasn't hard enough, van has set itself an additional challenge for the 2009 Nurburgring event in May. The German firm will be fielding two factory-prepared Sciroccos powered not by petrol, but by natural gas (CNG).
Called the
GT24-CNG, the car uses a fettled version of the standard
car's 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing around
300bhp and 350Nm of torque, thanks mainly to CNG's much
higher octane rating of 130. The car will retain the
road car's front-wheel drive layout and six-speed DSG
'box, too. However, CNG's inferior energy density to petrol, which means it can't go as far on a single tank of fuel, could prove a problem in endurance racing. But it does mean a the GT24-CNG will produce around 25 per cent less CO2 than the standard GT24 race car.
